When Pam and Justin Ward adopted their cat Sergei, he was unhappy being left at home, especially after the family’s dog died. To keep Sergei happy, the couple decided to bring Sergei to their bookstore.
Sergei was soon happy strolling around the bookshelves and interacting with the customers. Unfortunately when Sergei hit 17 years, he slowed down and eventually had to be put down.
Books and cats just naturally go together so if you enjoy reading, you probably need a cat. Even if you don’t enjoy reading, get a cat anyway and give it a good home. You’ll be glad you did.
