Rental prices in Northern California are high because so many technology companies employ thousands of people in that area. That’s why David Callisch found the perfect tenants for his $1,500-a-month studio apartment behind his Willow Glen home — a pair of cats.
43-year-old Troy Good had his daughter’s beloved cats, which he couldn’t abandon but also couldn’t house in his new apartment. So he decided to rent David’s apartment just for his daughter’s cats. He’s actually getting a deal since the average studio apartment in San Jose rents for $1,900 a month.
