Animal shelters always need donations to buy food and medical care for pets that need a good home. The North Fork Animal Welfare League in New York recently kicked off a fundraising campaign with a $40,000 goal.
The shelter has recently been getting flooded with older cats in addition to caring for kittens. Like most animal shelters, they could use all the help they can get so if you live near the shelter, consider donating or volunteering to help cats find a home they can call their own.
