Many families with multiple pets have a problem. One pet tends to eat the food out of its own bowl along with the other pet’s bowl. That means one pet gets fatter while the other one goes hungry.
That’s why a company called Volta is offering a pet bowl that uses facial recognition to identify each pet. Now the bowl will only open its lid for the proper pet, keeping one pet from stealing another pet’s food.
The police already use facial recognition to find criminals and now smart pet bowls can use facial recognition to stop pet food thieves as well.
