The cold weather in the United States has threatened both humans and animals. That’s why Tigh Conley decided to build a makeshift cat shelter out of every blanket he could find to drape over furniture on his porch.

Along with extra carpeting, lumber, and a space heater, he created an outdoor cat shelter. When the temperature outside was zero degrees, his cat shelter was 24 degrees. To entice stray cats, he left a trail of food leading to his cat shelter.

This cat shelter gives stray cats a place to get out oft he cold and wind, and stay relatively warm compared to sleeping exposed outside. Tigh says he’ll keep his cat shelter up all winter and hopefully next year he’ll continue helping stray cats from the cold.
