The cat actors that collectively played Goose the cat in “Captain Marvel” are trained to deal with actors and the chaos surrounding a typical movie set. However, the cats did have trouble adapting to the actors playing aliens in the movie.
That’s because the cats were trained to deal with humans, but when faced with actors in alien makeup, the cats were understandably hesitant to get too close. Fortunately, the actors playing aliens took extra time to make the cats comfortable. Once the cats realized the actors playing aliens were just as predictable as humans, the filming could proceed, which goes to show that cats really do notice the difference appearance of people.
