When a cat named Princess Momma got stuck on a telephone pole, its owners called an animal rescue group, the fire department and an energy group for help.
But before any rescuers showed up, Princess Momma’s human neighbors reached out to a Verizon employee who was working in the Port Richmond neighborhood of Philadelphia. Maurice German used his equipment to save the cat but now Verizon has suspended him for endangering himself and his equipment.
So now every cat lover in the world has a reason to hate Verizon. If a mobile phone company would advertise that they love cats, they would get more people to switch faster than any other marketing gimmick.
