For five days in Bloomfield, New Mexico, a cat got stuck on the top of a utility pole with no food or water. Why a cat would even climb a utility pole remains a mystery, but then again, cats are about as logical as people on election day.
Fortunately, a team of workers from Farmington Electric Utilities System, which operates the power line, came to the rescue and tried to rescue the cat. However, the cat got scared and jumped about 75 feet to the ground before running off to safety.
Why the cat didn’t just jump in the first place is another mystery, but cats always like to inconvenience humans for their own amusement anyway.
