Rebecca Hung says she spotted the hole beside the foundation of her house Friday morning when she returned from a vacation. When she looked down the hole, she saw a black-and-white cat about three metres down staring up at her.
Firefighters arrived and build a frame to support the hole so a man could be lowered inside. Unfortunately, the cats just retreated deeper into the hole. Now firefighters are trying to use treats and sardines to lure the cats out.
Hopefully the cats will climb out on their own and be safe so someone can adopt them and give them a good, safe home.
