A cargo ship sailed from Shenzhen, China to Vancouver, Canada. The entire journey took 25 days, but what the ship’s crew didn’t know was that a cat had stowed away on board and gotten locked inside a shipping container.
Only upon unloading the container did officials discover the emaciated cat. The cat, now nicknamed “Stowaway”, was rushed to get medical attention and has been recuperating. The cost of its medical expenses is roughly $2,000 but donations have poured in for over ten times that amount.
Of course, nobody knows how this cat got stuck in a shipping container but everyone is happy that the cat survived its ordeal. Hopefully someone will adopt the cat and give it a happy home where it will never have to ride on a ship ever again.
