Since 1980, plastic Garfield telephones have been washing up on the beaches of Brittany, France. Now the mystery has been solved. Apparently a shipping container sank off the coast and this shipping container held plastic Garfield telephones.
Once the shipping container sank and broke open, the tides gradually washed the telephones up on the beach to the puzzlement of local residents. Now that this mystery has been solved, officials still need to clean up the environmental mess from this shipping container but at least no real cats were responsible for the problem.
