Australia has a problem with feral cats. Outdoor cats kill birds, rodents, and other animals, which has caused Australia to consider a ban or curfew on outdoor cats.
For safety, it’s best to keep your cats indoors but if you must give them outside time, consider a catio that lets them roam within a safe, enclosed area, which also prevents the cats from attacking other animals.
Australia’s laws banning outdoor cats may be the harshest, but they want to protect their wildlife too.
