Many people worry that artificial intelligence (AI) might one day become smarter than humans and wipe out the human race. Until that happens, AI will have to settle for smaller goals, such as naming cats.

The Morris Animal Refuge, located in Philadelphia, collaborated with Janelle Shane, a research scientist, to name some adorable adoptable cats, including Tom Glitter, Starmaker, and Whiskeridoo. Shane’s neural network generated creative, hilarious, and downright terrifying cat names such as Starmaker and Whiskeridoo.

So if you’re stumped for a name for your cat, try asking AI for help. Then again, you might not like any of the names the AI chooses so come up with names of your own and prove you’re better than a computer.
