Many cats want to go outside but they have to wait for their owners to come and open the window or door. Even worse, some cats live in apartments where even if the window is open, it’s too far to jump down or jump back inside. That’s why in Bern, Switzerland, many people have built cat ladders.
These cat ladders provide cats with a way to climb down and up multiple stories outside of a building. Now if a cat is on the second floor, it can still climb down a cat ladder to reach the ground. When it wants to go home, the cat simply climbs the cat ladder back to its window and steps back inside again.
