Three years ago, Drew Potter adopted a cat named Violet from the Humane Society in 2012. Although he had Violet microchipped, he had since separated from his wife.
Sometime in 2016, Violet went missing and three years later, but his contact information on the chip was outdated. Then three years later, a man found Violet barely able to stand and covered with fleas and maggots. After tracking Drew Potter down on Facebook, the man was able to reunited Violet with Drew Potter once again.
So keep your cat safe and be sure to get it microchipped. You never know when you might lose a cat and a microchip might be the only way to get it back again.
