Firefighters are trained to rescue both people and animals. Considering how many cats get stuck on telephone poles or in sewer pipes, it’s common for firefighters to help rescue cats.

In England, firefighter Darran Gough has rescued 15 cats in 12 months. His latest rescue occurred when he helped save a cat that had gotten stuck under a bath at its home. With so many cat rescues, Darran has been dubbed a “cat whisperer”. Hopefully he’ll be able to rescue many more cats during his career.
