A 4-year old cat named Perdita was rescued by the Mitchell County Animal Rescue when her previous owner died. Initially the shelter thought Perdita was a sweet cat. Then they realized Perdita is just a jerk.
Perdita will purr to let you pet her, then she’ll growl and swat your hand away. According to the shelter’s director, Amber Lowery, Perdita enjoys “staring into your soul until you feel as if you may never be cheerful again,” the song “Cat Scratch Fever” by Ted Nugent, the 2019 thriller “Pet Sematary,” lurking in dark corners and jumping out to scare others.
