King the cat had the misfortune of getting caught in a house fire. While King survived, he was badly burned. Tahts’ why veterinarians decided on a unique treatment by using fish skin to cover King’s burnt skin.
Surprisingly, these fish skin treatments are working well and King is healing. The Veterinarians got the idea from a veterinarian at the University of California, Davis, who used the technique in 2017 to treat bears and a mountain lion injured in a wildfire.
Hopefully King will make a full and complete recovery and be reunited with his family soon in their new home, whenever that may be.
