In California, coyotes often catch and kill house cats. However, three coyotes got a scare when they surrounded a cat named Max, only to have Max lunge at them and frighten them away.
Apparently the coyotes tried to move in for the kill when Max attacked them. When the other coyotes tried to move in, Max attacked them too. That’s when the coyotes decided to look for easier prey and ran away.
Fortunately max survived his encounter with three coyotes, but his owners have decided to keep Max inside for now and build him a catio so he can enjoy the outdoors in safety.
