Since cats can’t talk (or at least they aren’t saying anything to us),m they have to communicate in vocal or physical ways. One man discovered the hard way that his cat likes to make him up by jumping on his crotch every morning, causing the man great pain and waking up the entire household in the process.
The key is to stop rewarding the cat because it has learned that jumping on a crotch is a sure-fire way to get what it wants, which means getting everyone up. Of course, trying to get a cat to do anything is a nearly impossible task but you might as well try to alter your cat’s behavior because it’s no different than trying to modify a child’s behavior as well.
