Nearly everyone has seen or at least heard about the Tom and Jerry cartoons where a cat constantly tries to catch a mouse, who constantly outwits the cat over and over again. Originally called Jasper and Jinx, the comedy cartoon duo eventually became better known as Tom and Jerry.

Hanna and Barbera produced more than 100 of these Tom and Jerry short cartoons. Each took weeks to make and cost up to $50,000 to produce, so only a handful could be made every year. Fortunately now there are so many Tom and Jerry cartoons that you can watch them regularly and never get tired of them.
