Cat claws have been described as giving a cute, cuddly stuffed animal razor blades for fingernails. That’s because as lovable as cats may appear, their claws can rip you to shreds if you’re not careful.

Thats’ why some people put caps on their cat’s nails to keep them from scratching up their furniture. While caps can work, it’s probably easier to get a cat trained to use a scratching post instead of your furniture. Then again if you could train a cat, you wouldn’t have these problems in the first place.
