Off the coast of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, two people and a cat were in a houseboat that started sinking. Fortunately the Coast Guard rushed to the scene and managed to rescue the two people and their cat.
Initially a helicopter pulled the two people to safety while a boat crew rescued the cat. When everyone was safe, they reunited the two people with their cat, so even thought their houseboat may be gone, at least their cat is still with them.
