Any time a new addition arrives in your family, you have to worry about sibling rivalry. However, this can be even worse when you have a cat and a newborn suddenly appears in the cat’s world.

Fortunately, you can take precautions to insure your newborn doesn’t get hurt or sick from the cat (and vice versa). First of all, keep the cat away from the baby while it’s sleeping so the baby can sleep in peace. Second, keep the baby away from the litter box so it doesn’t touch or ingest any cat droppings.

With minor precautions, you can insure that your newborn and your cat get along just fine. Now you just have to worry if you will get along with your newborn when the newborn grows up and becomes a teenager.
