Balloons might be curious toys to a cat, but when you combine a balloon’s thin skin and a cat’s sharp claws, it’s probably not going to be a long-lasting situation. In one home, two cats found a balloon and while one watched, the other cat toyed with the balloon.

Not surprisingly, the cat’s sharp claws punctured the balloon and the loud popping noise startled the second cat so much that it literally looks like the popped balloon blew the other cat away.

Hopefully the cats aren’t too traumatized by the loud noise of the popping balloon. If you have balloons, it’s probably not a good idea to let your cat play with them because of the popping noise so give them other toys to break like antique vases or fragile crystal instead.
