With the coronavirus pandemic still spreading around the world, scientists are working furiously to develop a vaccine. One promising idea comes from researchers at the Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

These researchers claim that cats can develop a protective immune response to COVID-19, leading researchers to wonder whether it’s worth studying pets to aid in the development of a human vaccine.

Of course the best option is to just spoil your cat and spend as much time and money keeping your cat happy. Then your cat may grant you immunity to the coronavirus as long as you promise to open cans of cat food everyday.
