Sterling Davis is a rapper and while on a break from a rap tour, he applied for a job at the county shelter scooping kitty litter. He just wanted to stay busy and make a little money.
Curiously, he said he thought he did horrible at the interview because he kept kissing and playing with all the cats. That tired out in his favor though because his actions showed that he cared a out cats, so they hired him.
That’s when he decided to leave the world of music behind and stay with the shelter to help cats as the only black man there. He hopes his actions can change people’s perceptions of black men by showing everyone that he loves cats just like so many others.
