Cats need grooming. If you have a short-hair cat, you may need to brush it occasionally but if you have a long haired cat, you may need to brush it more often to prevent hair from getting matted.
In the cold months of winter, consider grooming your cat often as well to keep its fur healthy. Grooming can be another way to bond with your cat as well so spend time keeping your cat happy so your cat will spend time keeping you happy (hopefully).
