After a kitten in South Korea contracted COVID-19, officials said they would test pets for free. Shortly afterwards, they found a cat that had also contracted COVID-19 so they quickly quarantined it.

Officials point out that humans still can’t catch COVID-19 from cats, but they’re playing it safe anyway. Hopefully the cat will get well soon, but South Korean pet owners can at least relax, knowing that their government is doing what it can to protect its own citizens and their pets during the pandemic.
