Cats like sleeping in the oddest positions that either look like they’re twisted in a pretzel or look like they’re completely boneless. Although cats sleep most of their lives, the positions they sleep in can tell you their mood.

When a cat sleeps on its back with its belly exposed, that means it’s feeling safe. On the other hand, when a cat sleeps on his stomach with his head up, that means it’s in the ready position in case it needs to escape in a hurry.

For cats that like completely security, they’ll often curl up in an enclosed area such as a box. This provides the feline with an extra measure of safety, or as much safety as a cardboard wall can offer.
