If you have a cat that seems to stop and stare off into space for no apparent reason, it’s not because your cat sees a ghost. Instead, it’s far more likely your cat is simply studying its environment and watching things that may seem trivial to you.
Then again, your cat might be staring off into space because it’s high on catnip or because it just wants to freak you out and make you worry that something is wrong with your cat. In any case, when cats stare off into space, it’s perfectly normal behavior even though cats are far from being perfectly normal to begin with.
