There’s a saying that “Curiosity killed the cat,” which is meant as a warning not to get too curious or you could get yourself into trouble. Of course the latest research points that nurturing curiosity is actually mentally healthy and a key to success.

Companies need creative people, yet too often they saddle people with jobs that don’t encourage curiosity. So perhaps instead of hiring high-priced CEOs that leave a few years later without accomplishing much of anything other than draining the company’s bank accounts, we should all just be hiring cats as CEOs instead. At least they’re willing to work for catnip.
