Besides wondering if cats even care about people at all, another major question surrounding cats is whether they like music or not. Studies have shown that classical music can lower the stress level in cats while heavy metal increases stress levels in nearly everybody, including cats.
Some people play music for their cats when they’re away from home. That way their cats won’t feel anxiety being left alone. Then again, most cats probably feel more anxiety when their owners return home again since the cats likely loved having the whole house to themselves. So one way to lower a cat’s stress level is to give it a home of its own.
