Cats needs meat, yet some cat owners may not eat meat themselves so they feel squeamish about feeding their cat meat. Vegetarian cat food may not be satisfactory so that’s why a startup called Because Animals plans to make cat food from stem cells.

The company uses stem cells from mice and then grows those cells in a laboratory. The mice are unharmed but their cells are used to grow meat that gets turned into cat food. That way you can feed your cat meat without any animals being harmed in the process.
