There are all types of folk tales that explain how tigers got their stripes, but many people wonder how did cats get their stripes too? The answer turns out to be genetics, but just because scientists know how cats get their stripes, they still don’t know why.

Are stripes a form of camouflage that lets cats blend in to their environment, especially since they’re predators? Or are cats just messing with our minds like they normally do with their owners? The answer is still unknown but we do know that cats like to keep humans as ignorant as possible because ignorant humans are easier to manipulate.
