For nearly 20 years, Ward Tefft has run Chop Suey Books, the Carytown bookstore that has been written about by The New York Times and ranked the best bookstore in the state. Now Tefft has sold the store to new owners that includes all intellectual property associated with the book store including WonTon the cat.

Fortunately the bookstore’s new owners plan to keep the bookstore and WonTon the cat, who first joined the bookstore in 2008. Perhaps the cat will bring good luck to the bookstore, or simply give customers another excuse for visiting the bookstore just so they can pet the cat.
