Adrian and Lorraine Marshall, a couple in England, spent £1,500 to build a “catio” to keep their cats safe after three others were fatally run over on the busy road near their home. Unfortunately, the city may force them to tear this catio down since the couple failed to obtain the proper permission to build it.
Fortunately, supporters have backed a petition to save the catio. Hopefully the city will find a way to keep the catio and the cats inside safe. After all, keeping cats inside a catio is a far better alternative than to let them loose on the neighborhood.
