Lots of people are feeling more stressed out and anxious during the current COVID-19 pandemic. Rather than get angry at people around you for no apparent reason, it might be best to get an emotional support animal like a cat.
Studies suggest that just petting a cat or dog for as little as 10 minutes a day reduces stress. Of course, these same studies neglect to mention how much added stress your life can experience when you have to deal with cats refusing to use litter boxes or shredding your furniture with their claws. Still, if you want to calm yourself down, get a cat, and then wonder how caring for a cat is supposed to help you.
