Starting around January 2020, BJ Ross noticed shoes started showing up in front of her house. After she threw the shoes away, thinking people were just abandoning their shoes, the shoes started appearing in her backyard instead.
That’s when Ross started to suspect her cat Jordan. After installing security cameras in the backyard and a GPS tracker in Jordan’s collar, Ross verified that Jordan was stealing shoes from the neighbors. To help her neighbors recover any lost shoes, Ross started a Facebook group so people could recognize and claim their missing shoes.
