Five years ago, Elizabeth Antev and her family were living in Edmonton, Alberta. That’s when her cat, Kiki, failed to come home. Elizabeth put out flyers for months but got no response. A year later, she moved to Ontario but kept her local phone number because that’s what had been listed on Kiki’s microchip.

Five years later, a neighbor found a stray cat, fed it, and took it to a veterinarian who discovered the microchip. The now 13-year Kikki was soon reunited with Elizabeth and is happy to be back home again, which shows you the importance of getting your cat microchipped.
