There are far too many cats that need good homes than there are people able to adopt them. If you have room, consider adopting a cat or two. Animal shelters are doing their best but they can get overwhelmed at times.
When a local shelter retrieves cats from a hoarder, the sudden influx of cats can overwhelm the best intentioned cat groups. Even worse, the rescued cats are often in shock at their new environment. Perhaps if more people adopted cats, they wouldn’t have time to do anything bad since they’d have to spend all their time taking care of their feline instead.
