A fifth-grader in Alabaster, Alabama has two passions: stitching and animals. To satisfy both passions, 10-year-old Lando Aldridge has started a charity where he stitches hats, sells them, and then donates the money to local animal shelters.
Lando’s program, dubbed “Hats for Cats,” is his way of making a positive change in the world while helping cats. If we could only get more people of all ages to care for cats, this world would be a better place because we could all enjoy being around more cats.
