Many people love cats. Unfortunately, cats kill wildlife from birds and rodents to lizards and fish. That led the International Union for Conservation of Nature to declare cats as among the world’s worst invasive species.
One problem is that cats can transfer diseases. A second problem is that cats kill wildlife. A third problem is that cats are cute and lovable while they’re spreading diseases and killing wildlife, which makes it hard to turn against them despite the damage they may cause.
