Losing a cat to old age is hard. So when Kelly Anderson from Austin, Texas lost her cat Chai, she didn’t want another cat. She wanted the same cat.
That’s when Kelly spent $40,000 to a genetics company called ‘ViaGen’. After receiving a tissue sample, ViaGen created a genetically identical cat, which she has named Belle. Although the cost of cloning is high, Kelly said it’s worth it to have her cat back again.
