The Japanese love cats. So it’s only natural that the Japanese would study cats. Their latest study suggests that not only do cats recognize their own names, but also the names of other cats in the household along with other humans.
Of course, just because a cat recognizes its name doesn’t mean it will listen to you when you call it. That just shows that cats have no problems ignoring you for their own purposes since they’re the ones in charge of the household anyways.
