Cats are strange and fascinating creatures, and one unique trait of every cat is the existence of a third eyelid. Most people have two eyelids, a top and a bottom one, but scientists believe humans once had a third eyelid as well that eventually was no longer needed.
However, since cats are hunters, they need their third eyelid to protect their eyes while stalking prey among grass and leaves. So take a look at your cat and look for a third eyelid. If you think that’s creepy, look for other parts of your cat that don’t have any equivalent in human anatomy and you’ll soon realize that cats are such special creatures both physically and emotionally.
