The safest place for a cat is indoors. However, many cats don’t like being cooped up inside. In warmer weather, this might not be much of a problem but in colder climates, cats need a warm place to stay. That’s why some people let their cats stay in a garage.
Unfortunately, garages can be cold along with containing dangerous chemicals such as radiator fluid and gasoline. If you need to keep a cat in a garage, provide a warm space for it to sleep, preferably with a heater. Also store any dangerous chemicals away from the cat so that way the garage can be a safe place.
