On February 6, a tremendous earthquake killed at least 36,187 people in southern Turkey. Amazingly, rescuers managed to free a cat that they nicknamed Enkaz (rubble). Since being rescued, Enkaz has refused to leave the side of his rescuers.
Hopefully the owner will have survived as well and can be reunited with Enkaz but if not, Enkaz has found a home with the people who rescued the cat from the rubble. So let’s hope for the best and hope that more people and pets manage to survive.
