A powerful earthquake recently shook the Turkey-Syria border, causing tremendous damage and loss of life. Fortunately one woman, named Rumeysa Gürbüz, had a cat named Leyla, who woke Rumeysa up 15 minutes before the earthquake struck.
When the earthquake hit, Rumeysa was able to jump out of a window before her home collapsed. Now rescuers have found Leyla and reunited the cat with Rumeysa. So the next time your cat wakes you up, it could be trying to save your life (or just annoy you).
