Cats have an unnerving ability to put themselves in the worst possible situations such as up in trees, at the top of telephone poles, or in the case of a cat in San Antonio, on the ledge of a freeway overpass. When police arrived, they carefully approached the cat to keep it from jumping away in fright.
When the cat realized the officers were there to help, they let the officers pick it up and carry it to safety where they transported it to a shelter for medical care. Hopefully the cat will eventually find its forever home and stay away from freeway bridges in the future.
